Social Computing Guidelines

I have added a new governance document to the HORSE wiki that provides an example of a social computing and networking employee guideline. It is located here: http://lazarusalliance.com/horsewiki/index.php/Social_Computing_Guidelines

Like so many of my corporate information security counterparts, the explosion of public applications available and the massive participation presents a new challenge in the presentation of a corporate presence, reputation, marketing, and security. It is important to embrace these technologies. They enable business and the sharing of intelligence, connect people and teams across the globe. The downside may come in the form of defamation, intellectual property losses and a plethora of other risks that may be associated with an increase in business and personal exposure. This paradigm shift isn’t fundamentally new, but just the current wave and ensuing growing pains we must get through. It is important to provide guidance and not hustle our way over the edge like lemmings.
