It is amusing to me that the immersion causes me to view even the most innocent situations differently. In good humor, a subordinate coworker received a scratch from another unprovoked, but certainly without malicious intent. In jest, I point out that my subordinate had a tort case for intentional battery. I’m enjoying law school. Something to ponder, if we begin to perceive the world around us in the contexts of torts, contracts, and criminal acts, does this lend itself to becoming an “ambulance chaser?”
