A horse by any other name ….

horse If I were to be asked by anyone which volunteer activity I am most proud of, it would be my brain-child pet project known globally as the HORSE Project. The Holistic Operational Readiness Security Evaluation (HORSE) project has been a four year commitment to the education, enlightenment, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and awareness of the global community as it relates to Technology Law, IT Governance, Security Assessments, Awareness and Training, Governance Documentation, Compliance, and Research. Currently there are over 200 members globally and over 1,200 pages of content present in this collaborative Wiki available to the global community. This has been a true grass-roots effort to raise the bar globally towards how people and organizations approach confidentiality, integrity, and assurances for technological and physical information protections. This project’s genesis began with the many years of audit experience in a consultative role with many high profile clients that appear on the list of Fortune 500 companies including Bank of America, First Data Corporation, Humana and OneOK. The HORSE project eventually evolved into the thesis project for the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) I earned from Western Governors University. My thesis project consisted originally of 475 page body of work and now at over 1,200 pages, it has clearly grown! Check it out, create a free account, and help the 200+ members continue to build this great open community resource.
